PRESSone Official Foundation — PRS Foundation — Established
The Official foundation of PRESSone — PRS Foundation — was established on May 1, 2018.
PRS Foundation is a management and investment agency operated by the PRESSone team. It represents PRS project team in the PRS ecosystem.
The purpose is to facilitate the activities and the development of PRS ecosystem.
Roles and Missions
There are three primary roles of PRS Foundation at present:
- Provide the certification and supervision to funds under management;
- Invest and support projects;
- Create and operate the funds under direct management.
Current Foundation member:
- Executive Management: Xi Qiao, Huo Ju
- Strategic and Investment Leader: Li Xiaolai
- Advisor: Zhan Bin
The primary missions at present:
- Approve and certificate funds and their first project. We will use __@fund.press suffix for the fund that has been approved and provide a certification for the fund’s official account on PRESS.one.
- Provide support for the preparation and operation of various funds and projects, and supervise the transparency of the funded projects.
- Select and invest the funds and projects that can promote the PRS ecosystem. We will supervise and track the spendings of the investment and its result.
- According to the needs of the project and ecosystem, PRS will setup and operate various direct management funds and projects with different goals.
In a nutshell — “PRS Official Foundation” represents the “investment agency and “association” established by the PRS project team.
Funds and Projects
- “Funds” are independent founding teams with certain visions in the PRS ecosystem.
- “Project” is the goal and implementation plan made by the fund team to realize its vision.
- “Participant” is a group of people who believe in the project’s plan and are willing to work with the founding team to achieve the goal.
There are two types of funds:
- Self-built funds: voluntarily created by supporters of the PRS ecosystem. You can apply for a fund from PRS Official Foundation, or you can raise fund by yourselves.
- Direct Management Fund: Created, managed and operated directly by the PRS Official Foundation. Mainly invested by the PRS Official Foundation. Some projects may also accept external investment.
Any participant, supporter of the PRS ecosystem, or anyone who believes in PRS can create a fund. Whether you are a volunteer, token holder, developer, content creator, book club, publisher, content broker, distribution channel, et.al.
The vision and goal can be either commercial or non-commercial.
Project planning can be large or small, it can be a specific goal with a period of several months, or it can be an ambitious plan that lasts for many years. For the sake of management and development, we suggest you split it into a continuous multi-phase project to operate.
There are many ways to attract people to collaborate to reach the goal of the project. Publishing tasks with token rewards is straightforward and common. However, whether or not it’s successful depends on whether it will satisfy the vision. The tasks and their incentives in the project are to aggregate energy, attract talents, and promote cooperation. A true supporter cannot be bought.
What can you find in this blog?
This blog is managed by the PRS team. It will publish news, announcements, certificate records, and investment reports from the PRS Official Foundation.
For example:
- Create certification information for each fund account which will be certified by the PRS official team.
- Publish PRS official funded projects.
- Publish an investment report each month to show the amount and purpose of each investment.
- Regularly publish investment areas and plans to attract teams to build their own funds and guide project development.
