What does it take to be an indie writer and publisher?

There are a lot of good advice out there on writing.

Honestly, there are a lot of not so good advice on writing as well.

See, if you search you will find anything and everything ranging from how to write to how to sell your work. Marketing strategies, social media strategies, twitter, author platforms, writing prompts, writing strategies, combating writers block, courses, material, how to write, how to increase your writing speed and much, much more.

However, the one thing lacking in most of the advice is actually the most important part.

The part on what it takes to become an indie writer and publisher. Most writers have the dream and desire. They have all the information on the proverbial fingertip, yet they never accomplish and fulfill their dreams.

“Because simply put, they don’t know what it takes.”

Believe me, I have been there. Aimlessly dreaming up stories. For many years I loved the idea of being a writer far more than actually doing the writing.

Call it a fear of success, or procrastination.

Fact is, I had no idea what it takes to be an indie writer and publisher.

Now, in the next few posts, I will share with you what I have learned over the past few years. I cannot promise it will propel your writing to a next level, but I can guarantee that it will give you an honest and transparent view of what is expected and what is achievable.

Stay tuned.

Write hard.

“And live each day as if it is your last….because someday it will be!”
