It actually boggles my mind that things like this even occur today. Everyone deserves the same level of respect, no matter what.

I agree with you, the fact that you need to present the different situations to see how people react to it; in this case, it is the presence of diversity. It’s like asking me, “What would you do right now if a plane came crashing through the ceiling?” How would I know what my reflexes would be? I have never experienced it. I can’t accurately envision the situation. I could only speculate that I might yell “WOAH!” and jump to my feet. But my true initial reaction could actually be to curse/cry/duck for cover.
