Monday evening in Eastney

I have convinced a local group of kayakers to lend me a boat so I can join them for an evening paddle in Eastney. Having never been to this area I followed the narrow Ferry Road on the east pointing peninsula towards the marina, all according to the directions I received earlier by email. I stopped at the slipway and looked out where the water should normally be.

Of course this couldn't be right and I realized quickly that I was at the north west slipway when I should be at a south east slipway some 300 meters or yards away (yup the Brits use yards which is like a meter with the end taken away). So I hauled myself to the other slipway, meet up with the group and got on the water for the first time in a while.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
