Laundry Day

Keeley prompt today asks, “Write a poem about doing laundry”.

The dirty clothes piled up high
It feels like they reach the sky
Out to the washer the basket goes
How could we get so many clothes?

Grab detergent and bleach in case
Begin a load and dirt will erase
The clothes tumble to and fro
Washer to dryer now they go

The very last load is finally dry
Fold them well, stack them high
Hangers for some, for wrinkle free
A job well done don’t you see
