PanXchange Opens Houston Office

By: Julie Lerner, Founder & CEO of PanXchange

Happy 2018! We’re not quite a month into this new year, but it’s already shaping up to be a very busy one for PanXchange. As we head into February, I want to share with all of you a few news items that we are thrilled to announce today:

New Office

Anyone who has talked to me for more than 10 minutes knows how much I love Colorado, and I’m proud to be operating PanXchange out of our Denver headquarters. But I can also admit that Houston, Texas, is the nexus of the U.S. energy industry, and a leading energy center in the world. That’s why I’m excited to announce the opening of our new office in Houston.

Our Houston office will be our second in the U.S. (after Denver), and our fourth overall when including our east African offices in Nairobi, Kenya, and Kampala, Uganda. Establishing the Houston location will provide us with greater opportunity to spend facetime with customers, ensuring we are always listening and solving problems the industry wants us to solve.

New Director

We have hired Mike Hall as director of PXEnergy and manager of the new office. Mike brings with him deep industry expertise in supply chain management with the U.S. Marine Corps, Halliburton and Schlumberger, and, more recently, he has used his previous experience to run a highly successful consulting business in proppants.

As the director of PXEnergy, Mike will be working with PX customers in the region and leading all efforts related to upstream O&G market development, starting with proppants. We know Mike’s unique skill set and experience will help us grow as a company, and we can’t wait to have him as part of our team.

Petroleum Connection

This Friday, February 2nd, Charlie Stephens and I will be speaking at the Petroleum Club of Houston for Petroleum Connection’s Third Annual Frac Sand Industry Update. Our presentation will cover our thoughts on price discovery and provide tangible examples in other markets as to how more transparency provides better pricing and profit opportunities for all stakeholders along the supply chain.

Petroleum Connection is one of the leading conference organizers in frac sand, and we’re honored to have been invited to present at this industry update attended by the energy industry’s most reputable leaders. If you’re attending the event on Friday, give me a shout — I’d love to meet up with you.

These three items are important developments for PanXchange as we continue to expand our offering in the U.S. By establishing a regional presence in the heart of the American energy industry, we’ll be able to more fully connect industry participants and offer an even more robust marketplace. For any of you in Houston, we’ll hope to see you at the Petroleum Connection event this week, but if not, we’re excited to now be neighbors!
