Over the past couple of months, the Pantos project has benefitted from a wide range of structural, personal and organisational changes. Most noticeably, we are now communicating with the community through Telegram and other channels more directly. However, we also started tackling this project from aspects we did not consider so much in the past. A big part of this, of course, comes with the advancement of the project in general. We have extended our scope of business collaborations to the traditional banking sector, we are currently looking at applications with smart grid and supply…

While the general objective of the Pantos project hasn’t changed since its inception over 2.5 years ago, the industry as a whole definitely has. In late 2017 and early 2018, the goal was to simply connect fragmented blockchains. Now, we see a lot of those projects coming to maturity. We also see the traditional financial industry embracing the possibilities of blockchain technologies. In this blog post, we would like to give an overview of what has happened so far and where we are heading further on. …

We are happy to unveil yet another milestone for Pantos (PAN). Together with our new partner IOTA and with the support of the Austrian Federal Ministry for Digital and Economic Affairs and the Christian Doppler Gesellschaft, a new Christian Doppler Laboratory for Blockchain Technologies for the Internet of Things (CDL-BOT) led by Prof. Stefan Schulte from the TU Wien’s Institute for Information Systems Engineering was opened in Vienna today, the 26th of November, 2020. The research focus of the new laboratory will be on Internet of Things (IoT) applications of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs) and blockchain-interoperability.

As Europe’s leading investment…

After 2.5 years of research and development, the Pantos (PAN) project reaches a major milestone by entering into a partnership with Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI). RBI is a leading corporate and investment bank headquartered in Austria, and is active in 13 markets in Central and Eastern Europe. Around 46,000 employees service 16.7 million customers through 2,000 business outlets. As the first Proof of Concept, Pantos technology will be implemented on RBI Coin, an e-money solution developed by RBI. …

In the tenth TAST Technical White Paper, we introduce the first work of the Pantos project directly aimed at developers. We present a framework that simplifies the development of cross-blockchain applications.

To be precise, our framework enables cross-blockchain smart contract invocations between Ethereum-based blockchains with just two lines of code. With it, developers can invoke smart contracts to be deployed on other blockchains, e.g., they can deploy a contract on the Ethereum blockchain that calls smart contracts on the Ethereum Classic blockchain.

Key facts of White Paper X:

  • We present a framework that drastically simplifies the development of cross-blockchain applications.
  • Our framework enables cross-blockchain smart contract…

PAN started trading on Bitpanda on the 26th of July, 2018, which means that this Sunday marks PAN’s two year anniversary. This we would like to celebrate with a giveaway for our community.

Update (3rd August, 2020): All prizes have been credited directly to the winners’ PAN wallet on Bitpanda. Thank you for participating!

First of all, we would like to thank each and every one of you who has been part of the Pantos community since the beginning. Since we announced the Pantos Technology ICO on the 20th of March, 2018, and raised 616 BTC from 7,812 unique participants…

In the ninth TAST Technical White Paper, we further develop our protocol presented in White Paper 8 towards the requirements outlined in White Paper 5. As mentioned in our last update from February 2020, our protocol shows that most requirements for cross-blockchain token transfers can be fulfilled, plus we achieved a significant cost reduction of up to 92% over traditional blockchain relays. Now, we evaluate the new protocols on the Ethereum test networks Rinkeby and Ropsten.

Key facts of White Paper IX:

  • Based on the progress we made with recent White Papers, we now present extensions for a cross-blockchain token transfer protocol to ensure that tokens…

We’re a quarter of the way into 2020 and it’s been an interesting start, to say the least. Despite the current climate, the Pantos project is still fully operational and last week, we held our first ‘Ask Me Anything’ of 2020 with Bitpanda CEO, Paul Klanschek (along with a helping hand from Pantos Researcher Christof Spanring) on Telegram.

There was a lot of food for thought in this session, so we are trying to summarise some of the most interesting points for you.

Will there be more whitepapers?

Yes, our researchers are working on “sprints”, so to say, they have goals they want to achieve…
