At the end of the day, there are no awards being given out for people who:
‘Sacrificed their mental health for a job’.
‘Making ourselves small for others’.
‘Least time spent with family’.
‘Being Burnout’.
‘Most tears held in’.
‘Taking on too many commitments’.
‘Pretending to be resilient — when they’re not’.
Remember to take that time off even if only a day. Use it to come back to yourself. Use it for a long walk or a day moving from coffee shop to tea shop with a book, or listening to music while you people watch.
Remember who you are. How you made people feel. Outside the rhythm of work and of output.
