Parknav selected as winner of the SXSW Accelerator in the Enterprise and Smart Data category
Austin — March 14, 2016 — Yesterday, Parknav, the global leader in real-time on-street parking availability data, won the SXSW Accelerator in the Enterprise and Smart Data category. Parknav was selected from over 470 companies who applied to present at the SXSW Accelerator for 6 different categories. After being selected to move on to the second and final round, along with fellow Microsoft Ventures alumnus Beagle Inc., Parknav was chosen as the winner of the competition in the Enterprise and Smart Data category.
The two-day event was held the first weekend of SXSW Interactive from Saturday March 12 to Sunday March 13. The pitch competition culminated with the SXSW Accelerator Awards Ceremony yesterday evening where Parknav was announced the winner of the Enterprise and Smart Data category and presented with the award. The SXSW Accelerator Awards Ceremony honored one winner across each of the following six categories: Enterprise and Smart Data Technologies, Entertainment and Content Technologies, Health and Wearable Technologies, Innovative World Technologies, Payment and Fintech Technologies and Virtual Reality Technologies.
