Jo Willmott, 2016 Aboriginal Elder of the Year — Interview With A Famous Face

Recently I had the privilege to sit in and listen at a fascinating workshop lead by Jo Willmott. Jo is a facilitator at The Australian Institute of Social Relations and the NAIDOC Aboriginal Elder of the year in South Australia for 2016.

The workshop made me think and question what I knew about the present situation of first nation people. Luckily I have the opportunity to speak further with Jo. During our conversation I felt enlightened as well as saddened, uncomfortable, distressed and confused (I even got a bit of a telling off!).

This is not an easy interview to listen to but I believe it’s an important one. I hope you enjoy and learn as much as I did.
