Crazy Coincidences Between President James Buchanan and Hillary Clinton

If Hillary Clinton will be elected President she will be the first woman to become the President but not the first Secretary of State. Last time the Secretary of State became the President in 1857, his name was James Buchanan. And it turns out he and Hillary have a lot in common.

First of all, they are both Democrats. At least, in words. Before becoming the President he was elected Senator. Hillary was also a Senator for 8 years.

James Buchanan was the Secretary of State under the president Polk, who loved to be in control of everything. So, James Buchanan had little control. Buchanan felt this lack of power intensely and communicated his discontent to close friends and associates. Doesn’t it remind you anyone?

James Buchanan was obsessed with gaining more lands no matter what the cost was. During Buchanan’s tenure in the post of the Secretary of State the nation’s territory grew by more than one-third and extended across the continent for the first time. But at what cost? The war with Mexico was the result of his actions.

Do you remember the Hillary Clinton’s war in Libya? She was a major influence in President Barack Obama’s decision to go to war. While the Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, remembers saying “Can I finish the two wars I’m already in before you guys go looking for a third one?” But Hillary wanted the fame and glory, was obsessed with chasing Qaddafi and didn’t care about the price.

Buchanan had never given up his imperialist hopes to annex Cuba. Hillary is still hoping to become the patron of the Middle East countries.

When James Buchanan was elected president he appointed a cabinet of Northerners and Southerners and hoped to keep peace between the country’s pro-slavery and anti-slavery factions. Instead, the national tension over slavery only intensified. Buchanan was regarded at as the Southerners’ sympathizer, especially taking into account his support to the Dred Scott decision. He pressed upon the Northerners and thought that the slavery case was closed.

Hillary is ignoring the social tensions even though she isn’t the president yet. Until recently she simply ignored all the problems connected with the Black Lives Matter movement. Now when the problem can’t be longer ignored she says she has been always supporting the movement and her media claims Hillary was always there for black people.

Just like her predecessor Hillary doesn’t offer any new solutions to the problem, she only repeats what she heard from other people. She tries to please everyone so that everyone would vote for her. Still, there are few chances she can please everyone after she’s elected president. She should consider her predecessor’s experience.

She doesn’t take into account Russia or China. Two powerful and owing a lot of nuclear weapon countries. And she is ready to provoke a worldwide conflict. Unlike in the times of James Buchanan, it all can turn out really bad for all of us.

Just take a look at James Buchanan’s story and you will have to agree Hillary cannot be our president.
