An arrogant navel gaze.

You seem annoyed; why is that? Your only point of disagreement seems to be that there is no whole. But in the literal sense, there is a whole: that’s the universe, with everything and everyone, and we are definitely part of it. It might or might not be spiritual, and we don’t have any special role in it (no one said the contrary), but it’s a perspective worth keeping in mind and in acts. It’s pure humility here, letting go of our ego, our petty concerns and our delusions: we’re just part of the course of nature, the same way an ant is part of the forest, and if we feel it and appreciate it we’ll do many things differently, for the better.
