Will the Republicans ever end the campaign? Will they even temper their attacks on Hillary Clinton after she is elected President?

There is a time when a campaign has to end and the focus be on governance, enabling the elected leadership a chance to lead. In the first two years of President Obama’s presidency he had a large enough majority in the Congress to pass a set of initiatives. The was the first and last time. The Republican party has seen its mission as “obstruction” — - obstructing his administration (even to shutting down the government) rather than offering any alternative set of concrete policies for governing the country. Will the Republicans repeat their obstruction with even greater intensity as they don’t like Hillary?

a “ small government” is a slogan, not a program and even Ronald Reagan wound up presiding over a larger government.)
