On January 26, 2016 a thirteen year old girl named Nicole Lovell was reported missing. Police began investigating and quickly viewed Virginia track star David Eisenhauer as a potential suspect. He provided them with evidence that led them to Natalie Keepers who was an accomplice in the crime.The police questioned Keepers until she gave the location of the young girls deceased body as well as information on the murder. Currently David and Natalie are behind bars while friends and family of Nicole grieve the loss.

Earlier this week Virginia legislators passed a law that would finally allow home-schoolers to be a part of there local high school sports teams. This bill is related to Tim Tebow because he is a prominent athlete who played for his local high school while being home schooled so this is a cause he stands behind. Their are critics who feel that this law allows certain schools an advantage using children who do not attend their school. However when it came down to it most people were on board that these children are able to do something disciplined and constructive and enjoy playing sports.

Recently Virginia residents find themselves surprised to learn that their state is considering bringing back the electric chair due to a shortage of lethal injection drugs. The company that produced these drugs shut down use for carrying out the death penalty which left many states wondering how to deal with those on death row. Virginia has a man scheduled to recieve the death penalty but is a standstill on how to carry it out. Critics to the electric chair say it is cruel and unusual punishment which no deserves. In the mean time many are left wondering what will become of those left on death row in Virginia.
