Resource: Who needs more time now? Find it here!

I frequently hear people say “I’ll be there … in a minute.” Or “Wait … a minute.” Meanwhile, hours, days, years later …. Which got me wondering, how long do people think ‘a minute’ … truly is?
Mathematically it is 60 seconds. Which means, we humans have about 90,000 thoughts/day (given a thought takes under a second to create). That fact is the base for my next post in this Get UNstuck NOW Breakthrough Coaching system series (one proven results-creating strategy per day, for a month). Write me if you’d like to preview the series now.
Your Get UNstuck NOW! Breakthrough strategy (day 2): Treasure EVERY moment of your own time.
Resource: Consider the perceived value of time. Download the Time Value poster showing examples (like a year for a failed student exam, or a hundredth of a second for the silver Olympic medalist).
Here’s a fun, interactive game I play with my Juggling Multiple Priorities meeting Keynote audiences. It is called ‘How long is a minute?’ Sounds, simple enough, no? Play along with me ;-)
To DO:
- Click to start this timer, then close your eyes and imagine how long 1 minute is (no peaking or counting, and sounds are misleading).
- When you believe a minute is up, open your eyes and look at the timer.
While the clock is accurate re: 60 seconds, your results are based 100% on what you … think …it is. Consistently, my live meeting audiences confirm numbers across the map, between 20 seconds to well over a minute! So for those who clock 30 seconds, does that mean they created a time machine (!!): 2 minutes for every 60 seconds. Nice!
So, what was your time? Do comment below, including your learning about your sense of time (current vs desired).
How soon will you decide now to like and share this powerful results-achieving strategy (and game) with those who will benefit too.
And when aren’t you ready now to harness this for yourself or your group now? This is one of my fav, top 100, proven strategies that empower guaranteed, consistently improved results. That’s right.
Contact me at CoachPaul@GetUNstuckNOW.org or +1 (905) 764–8525 for a quick 5 minute chat (my treat) … that’s all most leaders need to get on track. Or when you are ready for a change, ask for a personal Breakthrough coaching strategy session to apply this to your benefit.
Oh, and starting now, when someone says ‘in a minute’, ask what they truly mean ;-)
