The statement I do hear all the time is “I wish there was one place where I could go to get all of the services available” in literally every workshop with a local authority.

Typically the public sector response to this failure is to create a new role with a title like ‘navigator’ or ‘signposter’ and pay someone to sort out UI between the complex and poorly organised services and the citizen.

I’d be interested to know how many roles exist where this is the case — that’s my 2p’s worth anyway!
