If you don’t support $BROWSER yet is it a PWA?

This is where I find myself very confused. Why are you calling it a “Web” App at this point. Why not call it a “Progressive App”. It can no longer be referred to in any way as “Web” if you can’t open it with a Web Browser.

This is probably one of the single most confusing aspects of some people’s interpretation of “Progressive Web Apps” and I’ve only noticed the confusion since Google’s announcements — that’s not to say that people weren’t confused prior to that.

I find myself witnessing the same “debate” we had during day one of the W3C Mobile Web Initiative. I found myself in the company of ver few people who believed in a “Mobile Web” that did’t involve mobile specific technologies such as WAP.
