Hey Verity! (I love your name, btw). I thought your post was very well-written and I agree on a lot of the points that you made. I find it interesting that you included the idea of standing for the Pledge of Allegiance, especially with that same idea being plastered all over the media recently! I agree with your point though, I remember learning to stand for the pledge as early as preschool so it definitely is an American aspect of Socialization. Awesome post!
