Thank you for sharing an extend version of your view point. You raise some very good points here and individuals like companies are not all the same so being able to choose which ones you associate with and how is significant.

I would agree that trying to make all individuals conform to a particular set of norms would be a mistake. Trying to get the government to do so would be especially disastrous.

Too much focus on trying to urge people to act as you’d like them to can be very limiting. I’ve found trying to listen and understand where they’re coming from to be helpful. Most importantly, being able to focus on what you can do can attract others who share your values. Allowing other people the privilege of doing the same seems reasonable to me.
