Recently, I’ve been doing a lot of introspection and trying to get back in touch with myself and the aspects of my life that make me feel whole, inspired, and alive. As part of that process, I’ve been journaling this year, a practice I was religious about in my teen years but abandoned in adulthood. I woke up today thinking maybe I’d share some of my thoughts more publicly in the hope that my musings might be helpful to others who are trying to navigate their lives with consciousness and intentionality.

So, here’s my musing for today.

My wife and I have been married for over 15 years. They’ve been a great 15 years. Truly. We’ve lived in 3 states, 5 apartments, and owned and then later sold 1 house. I’ll write another time about how homeownership made me feel stifled and trapped. We’ve had 4 wonderful dogs (1 of whom is still alive). We call ourselves Team Squirrel. …
