If These Walls Could Talk
Our last full day in this house is upon us. A day to throw everything left in boxes and get rid of stuff.
If these walls could talk, I wonder what they would say?
Would they talk about the family game nights or the pizza nights we had? Would they talk about the memories we made, or the time we wished we had new walls to look at?
It’s hard to believe so many years went by between these walls and yet, I won’t miss it.
I’ll miss moments, but as a whole these last few years were pretty uneventful.
The best parts of living here, have all happened after I gave the notice that we were moving.
People were stand offish. We didn’t really make many friends. The friends we already had here, we rarely saw. We had never even been to their home until last week.
Our first dinner, was our goodbye dinner.
I won’t be repeating this.
Starting over will be a little different this time. We’re not going to be in the same kind of neighborhood, or a large city. In some ways, it will be harder but in others easier.
