Farts. Uranus. Butts.

A decade seems like many moons ago.

I love you to the moon and back.

Well, the moon is 238,900 miles from Earth. Uranus is 1.7 BILLION miles from Earth.

That’s why I say:

I love you to Uranus and back.

According to Universe Today, Earth and Uranus are both orbiting the Sun and the distance between them can change, depending on their positions. So they can be even further apart.

That’s a lot of love.

Around here, just uttering the word Uranus provokes laughs and jokes.

Over the years, we have read books about planets. Did you know that Uranus wind speeds can reach up to 900 km per hour?

Or that Uranus is covered with a haze made of methane?

Ha!

Humor has always been part of our family. Everyone Poops was one of our first and favorite read-out-loud books. “A one hump camel makes a one hump poop, and a two hump camel makes a two hump poop. Only kidding.”

That’s a lot of laughter.

Its companion book The Gas We Pass explains how farts are part of being healthy. In fact, we humans produce about one liter of gas per day.

Let it go!

As Shrek and Hagrid both famously said, “Better out than in.”

Here’s to a new year filled with health, love, laughter, and letting go. Our universe needs more of that.
