The Road Less Traveled
One day, I met a giant pink butterfly, a friendly llama, a banana as big as a city block, and an angel with flowing red hair. On accident.
That was the day the freeway construction forced me to detour along city streets. To parts of the city I have never been. To sights I have never seen.
The detour was a gift. The experience was eye opening. The art made me giddy, appreciative, and inspired. So inspired that I took an unknown road on my way home.
“If we know exactly where we’re going, exactly how to get there, and exactly what we’ll see along the way, we won’t learn anything.”
-M. Scott Peck, The Road Less Traveled
