“ The first step towards getting somewhere is to decide that you are not going to stay where you are.” — J.P. Morgan

Billionaire Richard Branson knows a thing or two about starting a business. A few years ago he met Jack Dorsey at the bar on Necker Island. Jack told him about Twitter, and Branson ended up investing in the company. Branson says when someone comes to him who’s interested in starting a business, one of the first questions he asks is “How is your idea going to make peoples lives better?”

I’ll paraphrase Sir Richard’s second bit of advice: ‘Screw it, Just do it’. Branson says surround yourself with great people, make sure you have a lot of fun in the process, and make sure you find time for yourself. You can view his full comments here.
