I am struck by the central point, that letting someone in, is what helps. Even if it’s just one. One’s enough. Would you agree that it is the acceptance (i.e. no judgement) that makes the difference. What an easier place the world would be if people would listen actively and refrain from giving simplistic advice. Just listening. Really listening is a gift in itself.
