Eckhart Tolle’s Milton’s Secret Becomes a Movie

As a life coach for GoldMind, LLC, Peter Winslow works with clients to produce changes in their lives that range from developing a mind-body connection to career advancement. When he is not busy with his work as a life coach, Peter Winslow enjoys reading books by author Eckhart Tolle.
Although he is best known for self-help books, Tolle has also found success as a novelist. His novel Milton’s Secret is about a boy named Milton, a 12-year-old struggling as he enters young adulthood. With often-absent parents, family financial issues, and a bully at school, happiness does not come easily for Milton. After a visit with his grandfather, he learns that reliving the past and obsessing about the future are preventing him from finding true happiness.
In 2016, Milton’s Secret became the first Tolle book to be adapted into film. Released in the United States in September, director Barnet Bain earned plaudits for the film’s sensitive depiction of bullying, one of the main themes of the novel.
