Bald men fighting over a comb. Modern companies have connected teams, not disconnected bosses whose only contact with employees is a 5 minute response. This is selling into the back-end of the bell curve — the companies whose employee systems are already broken.
And it is a sticking plaster over an open wound. If their communications are this broken, a 15 minute whinge and 5 minute platitude — and that’s what it will be in most companies-will simply make managers believe they’re doing the job and keeping everyone happy. They’ll be able to tell their boss that they answer every point, without ever having to show that they actually fixed any of the problems. So it will actually make things worse.
