Since 2014, photographers have shared their work on Pexels and helped millions of creatives power their personal and commercials projects. Graphic designers, journalists, bloggers, web developers, social media managers and more have told their stories using the 504,828 photos contributed by our talented photographers.
Available today, the Pexels app makes it even easier for creators to freely download the perfect photo for their next project — be it a new website landing page or an Instagram post.
“This first version of our app is only the beginning,” explains Ingo Joseph, Pexels co-founder. “We plan to add more engaging features in the next months to support creators who look for photos and photographers who generously share their work.”
Part of what makes Pexels exciting for photographers is the millions of views their photos get. “It’s quite easy for a new, talented photographer to gain over 1 million photo views in a matter of 2 weeks,” continues Joseph. Photos on Pexels receive over 3 billion image views per month, making it an amazing marketing opportunity for photographers who are looking to showcase their work, build their audience, and see which images perform better than others. Among the power users, we count writers who publish on media outlets like Buzzfeed, Forbes, and Mashable to musicians looking for album artwork.
