Phantom Galaxies Beta — ‘Cohort 1: Friends of Zorran’ will begin soon!
We’re thrilled to announce that the first cohort of our Beta program is almost here! ‘Cohort 1: Friends of Zorran’ is going to be an exciting and crucial part of our Beta testing phase, and we can’t wait for you to experience the many improvements and changes we’ve been implementing.
Zorran’s Favoured will receive a free NFT granting access to Beta Cohort 1 — not only will this be an exclusive token for this cohort, but it will also provide holders with special in-game utility … more details on that to come. So if you’re one of Zorran’s Favoured, prepare yourself to launch into a new and improved Phantom Galaxies experience!
What can you expect from Cohort 1? A lot! Players will experience completely revised Starfighter classes, each with all new abilities and a powerful Ultimate that defines the fantasy of that class. The campaign missions of Episode 1 will be playable, with networked multiplayer aboard Halberd-001, new Combat UI, and a revised tutorial. And this is just the beginning…
We’re constantly working on improving the backend UE server management, player avatar, gameplay UI, inventory UI, and basic game economy. We’re also adding animations for Ultimate abilities (Assault and Buster), VFX and SFX for Ultimates, Mech Attributes, Weapon Attributes, and new Archetypal Weapons.
There is a final, momentous addition coming in the Beta… our project is growing beyond Jordan Rickson’s Ranger journey. In this next phase, you will experience your own adventure — following the personal story of the Ranger you will become, and the journey we will all take together over the coming weeks, months and years. With randomised player Avatars in an optimised art style, players will set out into the next chapter of Phantom Galaxies with an appearance all of their own.
All of these improvements and changes will make Cohort 1 a significant testing phase, and provide valuable insights for us into the strengths and weaknesses of our project. By leveraging the feedback of this cohort, we can ensure that our game is the best it can be before releasing it to a wider audience.
