Phantom Galaxies 101: A Guide to Bounties in Beta Cohort 2
Pilots, Bounties are flooding in from all corners of the Phantom Galaxies universe — there are requests for Ranger action throughout the star systems, and rich rewards are on offer.
Introducing the Bounty Terminal
In Beta ‘Cohort 2: Rulers of Worlds’, we are introducing a new Bounty Terminal on the Halberd-001 station. You can use this terminal to view, accept and track all Bounties currently available — you can assess the requirements for completion, the rewards offered, and a message from the character who has set the Bounty.
When a Bounty is accepted, it will be viewable in the new ‘Bounties’ section of your Quest Log, along with the remaining time before it expires. Your four Daily Bounties will be available from 00:00 UTC, and expire after 24 hours. Details on Weekly Bounties will be coming soon.
Bounty Types
For the moment, the available Bounties will task players with destroying a certain number of enemies, and may have requirements of location, method and faction — or a combination of these. For example, you may be asked to seek out Xanorra corsairs above all others, deploy your Ultimate Abilities with prejudice, or join your fellow Rangers in patrolling the Medusa multiplayer region.
You can find the following Bounty variations in Beta Cohort 2:
- System or Planet: requires you to defeat enemies in a specific star system or Planet region.
- Ultimate: requires you to defeat enemies with your Ultimate Ability.
- Faction: requires you to defeat enemies of a specific faction.
Some Bounties may combine numerous variations. Depending on the challenge presented, some Bounties will offer higher rewards than others.
Bounty Rewards
Upon completing the Bounty, you will receive credit rewards. The rewards for Weekly Bounties will be significantly greater than Daily. More details on Weekly Bounties will be made available at a later date.
Bounty Creators
Bounties will be sent by a range of different characters from around the Canis Major Galaxy. From familiar and friendly Ranger faces to those you consider enemies — from desperate NCA citizens in need of a protector to the sly Pegasus of unknown motives…
Throughout Bounty descriptions, you will find hints at many characters, conflicts and worlds from the Phantom Galaxies universe.
