Attention Rangers!

Starfighter and Avatar Catalysts will be dropping soon! Here we have compiled as much information as possible so you can make informed decisions when minting your Starfighters and Avatars.

Your Starfighter and Avatar Mintpasses are all generative — this means the minting process will include random generative elements, to provide unique, distinctive attributes for in-game items. However, by including Phantom Catalyst NFTs in the Supermint process, you will be able to influence certain traits of your Starfighters or Avatars!

Generative Traits

These are traits that are given during the generative minting process and are not determined by players.

Catalyst Traits

These are traits that are influenced by the use of Catalyst NFTs.

Who will receive Phantom Catalyst NFTs?

The following NFT holders will receive Phantom Catalyst NFT drops:

  • The Hopeful — Both Avatar Gender Catalysts, one random Starfighter Build Catalyst.
  • Zorran’s Favour — All Avatar Catalysts (four Genetic Base, two Gender), plus Zorran’s Goggles NFT (an Accessory to be distributed at a later date)
  • Astrafite Rush Progress Tracker — One random Starfighter Build Catalysts, one random Avatar Genetic Base Catalyst.
  • Astrafite Rush Trophy — All four Starfighter Build Catalysts.

Each Phantom Catalyst will allow players to influence a specific trait of their Starfighter or Avatar NFTs. Players who receive a Phantom Catalyst can choose to use it in the mint for their Starfighter or Avatar — or, if they are not interested in influencing that trait, they can sell the Phantom Catalyst NFT!

Pristine Gen 0 Assault Starfighter

STARFIGHTERS

We know that our community has been looking forward to generative Starfighters for a while now. The time has finally come!

There will be three different kinds of Starfighter:

  • Limited Edition Starfighters: Generated from Pristine or Veteran Fleet Mintpasses, with unique cosmetic and gameplay features.
  • Standard Issue Starfighters: Generated from Standard Issue Mintpasses.
  • Base Starfighters: These Starfighters will not be connected to a Starfighter NFT. These will be flown by players of the free-to-play experience of Phantom Galaxies, and will afford none of the advantages of Starfighter NFTs.

There is an extensive list of elements that will be generated for players that use their Starfighter mintpasses. Each of the below will be generated randomly, unless specified otherwise:

  • Starfighter ID
  • Starfighter Registration Date (linked to mint date)
  • Build/Mech Type (can be influenced with Starfighter Build Catalyst)
  • Fleet Origin (will be determined by mintpass)
  • Class (will be determined by mintpass)
  • Endoskeleton Material
  • Colorway
  • Head Sub Part
  • Head Part
  • Forehead Plate
  • Jaw Part
  • Head Detail 1
  • Head Detail 2
  • Upper Back
  • Lower Back
  • Torso Part
  • Chest Part
  • Arm Rig
  • Shoulder Attachment
  • Leg Set
  • Knee Piece
  • Decal Type
  • Decal Color
  • Lighting
  • Background
  • Ambience

Wow, that’s quite the list!

Base (free-to-play) players will pilot Base Starfighters, which will not be an NFT, and will all look identical within a Build (for example, all Base Assault Mechs will look the same). There will be no generative aspects or material variations, there will be a singular colour scheme, and duplicates will also be possible within this tier as all Base Starfighters will look the same.

In addition, keep in mind that when any Starfighter is minted using a Limited Edition Mintpass (such as Pristine or Veteran Fleet, as opposed to Base or Standard Issue), there is a very small chance of the Starfighter being an Ultra Rare Gen.0 variant. Each Gen.0 Starfighter has a complete set of pre-filled trait values, with all rarity-based traits having Ultra Rare values.

Now, a bit more detail on some select Starfighter elements.

STARFIGHTER CATALYSTS

There will be one kind of Starfighter Catalyst NFT available, to influence a specific trait of your Starfighter during minting.

Starfighter Build Catalyst: Choose your Mecha’s class. Use the corresponding Catalyst when minting your Starfighter.

➡ Starfighter Catalyst — Build: Assault

➡ Starfighter Catalyst — Build: Buster

➡ Starfighter Catalyst — Build: Breacher

➡ Starfighter Catalyst — Build: Lancer

STARFIGHTER NAMES

Once minted, your Starfighter will be assigned an ID. This ID will be in the form of a Unique Identifier String that appears not only on the minted NFT. They will contain one of the following prefixes: VET for Veteran, PRI for Pristine, or STD for Standard, followed by 9 digits based on the mint number. An example Starfighter ID is: STD-001–004874.

STARFIGHTER ORIGIN TRAITS

As of this mint, there will be three possibilities for your Starfighter’s Origin trait: Pristine, Veteran, and Unspecified Origin.

Pristine and Veteran are both Limited Edition Starfighter Origin traits, which means that they are only available to specific users based on the use of the respective Mintpass NFT. Pristine and Veteran traits are mostly cosmetic and significantly change the colour scheme of the generated Starfighter. They will also grant a unique in-game emote and starter weapon to the player, at a later date. In the future, we plan to release additional series of Starfighters beyond Pristine and Veteran, which may come with other unique extras. We’ll have more detail to share on these in future. Limited Edition traits do not overwrite any other generated trait.

All Base and Standard Issue Starfighters will use the generative trait of “Unspecified Origin”, as the Standard Issue Mintpass will not specify an Origin.

STARFIGHTER FRAME TRAITS

Limited Edition Starfighters will be generated with a Starfighter Frame Class, determined by the corresponding Mintpass NFT: First Class, Second Class, or Third Class.

Starfighter Frame traits are mostly cosmetic and alter the way the Starfighter’s colour scheme is applied. First, Second, and Third Class Starfighters also come with a Starfighter Hangar, each of which will be visually distinct depending on the Class.

The designation of First, Second, or Third Class will also influence the rarity of options while generating your Starfighter, increasing the likelihood of acquiring more rare trait outcomes. First Class have the highest odds of generating rare traits, while Third Class have the lowest — however all can generate with Ultra Rare components. The traits with odds affected by the Starfighter Frame trait are as follows:

  • Endoskeleton Material
  • Head Subpart
  • Lighting

AVATARS

Like Starfighters, there will be three different kinds of Avatar:

  • Limited Edition Avatars: Generated from Elpis or Zveta Gene Samples, with unique cosmetic and gameplay features.
  • Unspecified Gene Sample Avatars: Generated from Unspecified Origin Gene Sample Mintpasses.
  • Base Avatars: These Avatars will not be connected to an Avatar NFT. These will be used by players of the free-to-play version of Phantom Galaxies, and will afford none of the perks of Avatar NFTs.

Unlike Starfighters, for which Catalysts can only control the Build of the mecha, Avatars will allow greater opportunities for customisation. Catalysts can be used to control key areas such as Gender and Genetic Base.

There are a multitude of other Avatar traits that will be generated for players that use their Avatar mintpasses. Each of the below will be generated randomly, unless specified otherwise:

  • Citizen ID
  • Enlistment Date (linked to mint date)
  • Origin (will be determined by mintpass)
  • Class (will be determined by mintpass)
  • Gender
  • Genetic Base
  • Primary DNA Source
  • Secondary DNA Source
  • DNA Splice Proportion
  • Eyebrows
  • Eye Color
  • Skin Tone
  • Hairstyle
  • Facial Hair (applicable only to Male Avatars)
  • Hair Color
  • Scars
  • Tattoos
  • Suit
  • Gloves
  • Boots
  • Suit Color
  • Suit Lights
  • Background
  • Ambience
  • Pose

In addition, keep in mind that for any Avatar minted using a Limited Edition Mintpass (such as Elpis or Zveta, as opposed to, Base or Unspecified Origin Gene Sample), there is a very small chance of the Avatar being an Ultra Rare Hero variant. Each Hero Avatar has a complete set of pre-filled trait values, with all rarity-based traits having Ultra Rare values.

AVATAR CATALYSTS

Gender Catalyst: Choose your Avatar’s gender. Use the correlating catalyst when minting your Avatar.

➡ Avatar Catalyst — Gender: Male

➡ Avatar Catalyst — Gender: Female

Genetic Base Catalyst: Choose your Avatar’s genetic base. Use the correlating catalyst when minting your Avatar. A separate article with additional visuals will be available at a later date.

➡ Avatar Catalyst — Genetic Base: ZE-7393

➡ Avatar Catalyst — Genetic Base: ZE-6688

➡ Avatar Catalyst — Genetic Base: ZE-5347

➡ Avatar Catalyst — Genetic Base: ZE-3915

AVATAR NAMES

Instead of generating a random name for each Avatar during mint, we’ve decided to completely leave that choice up to the player! As such, to distinguish between different Avatars, we will generate a unique Citizen ID. It will contain one of the following prefixes: ZVE for Zveta, ELP for Elpis, or STA for Standard, followed by 9 digits based on mint number. An example Citizen ID is: ZVE-001–000034.

AVATAR ORIGIN TRAITS

As of this mint, there will be three possibilities for your Avatar’s Origin trait: Elpis, Zveta, and Unspecified Origin.

An Avatar’s Origin is a custom appearance alteration that leads to different groups of generative trait outcomes. An Origin can only be obtained by using a Limited Edition Mintpass designated as Elpis or Zveta. All Base and Unspecified Origin Gene Sample Avatars will use the generative trait of “Unspecified Origin”, as the Unspecified Origin Gene Sample Mintpass will not specify an Origin.

Each Origin will only generate trait outcomes that match that Origin. For example, we have two groups of Hair Styles, one set for Zveta Avatars and one set for Elpis Avatars. Using a Zveta mintpass will mean that your Avatar can only generate Hair Styles from the Zveta set. Both sets have an equal number of options and rarity across all traits. The traits with unique sets for each Origin are:

  • Primary DNA Source
  • Secondary DNA Source
  • Hairstyle
  • Facial Hair
  • Suit Color
  • Background
  • Pose

AVATAR CLASS TRAITS

Limited Edition Avatars will be generated with an Avatar Class, determined by the corresponding Mintpass NFT: First Class, Second Class, or Third Class.

First, Second, and Third Class are all Limited Edition Avatar Class traits, which means that they are only available to specific users based on the use of the respective Mintpass NFT. First, Second, and Third Class Avatars come with Player Living Quarters, each of which will be visually distinct depending on the Class.

The designation of First, Second, or Third Class will also influence the rarity of options while generating your Avatar, increasing the likelihood of acquiring more rare trait outcomes. First Class have the highest odds of generating rare traits, while Third Class have the lowest — however all can generate with Ultra Rare components. The traits with odds affected by the Avatar Class trait are as follows:

  • Eye Color
  • Hairstyle
  • Hair Color
  • Facial Hair
  • Scars
  • Tattoos

AVATAR BADGE

Avatars will also have badges, although they will be a hidden trait and will not appear in the NFT traits. The badge received by the Avatar will be determined by the Class and Origin of the Avatar — badges have no generative options on their own, and the badge received is exactly determined by the combination of Class and Origin traits.

The role of these badges will be revealed at a later date…

With Phantom Catalysts, players can influence specific traits of their generative Starfighter or Avatar NFTs. The Gender Catalyst (gender randomly chosen) airdropped to The Hopeful will enable players to select their gender trait, while other Phantom Catalysts will apply a single pre-determined trait.

These Phantom Catalyst NFTs are further enhancing the player experience, customisation options and ownership within the Phantom Galaxies universe. We can’t wait to see the masses of unique soldiers and mechas that will come into existence when minting begins!

Note: All details are subject to change.
