Unveiling Rangers I: A New Arsenal of Weapons and Equipment

The first major Phantom Galaxies update of 2024 has introduced a wide range of fixes and refinements, as well as some major additions. Players are launching into the rewarding challenges of Patrols in our first co-op multiplayer missions — and now they can equip the latest creations of the Rangers’ brightest tech savants, with Gear Collection: Rangers I!
This formidable Gear has been carefully crafted to wreak havoc among pirate ranks, safeguard pilots from the onslaught of unrelenting reaver attacks, and send you hurtling across the star systems at a pace no corsair could match.
This first set of Ranger Gear will consist of six powerful new pieces of Weapons and Equipment. Listed below are each item’s official Ranger designation, the unofficial name popular among the ranks, and Gear type:
- PB4-C “Checkmate” (Burst Rifle)
- P-H9 “Hangman” (Scout Rifle)
- HR-X “Hit ’n Run” (Shotgun)
- CHO-RF “Signalman” (Chaingun)
- S-241BN “Bastion” (Shield Generator)
- CHF/ Y 3 “Champion Ferry” (Thruster)
How can you acquire these new weapons? Once you have downloaded the latest update, these will be waiting for you in-game. Take to the stars, defeat enemy vessels, and you will find these new weapons as lootable drops amongst the fiery rubble of your foes!
Alongside these additions, all in-game guns have undergone an update to fine-tune the Phantom Galaxies combat experience. This is just the first wave in a stream of brand-new items, with many more on their way. In future updates, we will be adding weapon rewards to the Ranger ABCs, gifting our most fearless and industrious pilots with extra firepower!
