I basically have zero time in my life right now for getting better at writing ✍️. But there are some things so important and so under reported that I’m just going to leave some notes here and let ya’ll do some research.

Read this article from Kurdish Academic and Scholar Hawzhin Azeez –

https://nlka.net/eng/the-treaty-of-lausanne-the-crime-of-the-century/

And this was my response on one of the groups that shared this post initially.

Yes exactly. How? – The Kurdish freedom movement and the AANES (Rojava ) – have acted exemplarary on all fronts yet the greatest stumbling block as you say is the silence of the great western imperial powers.

As a non Kurd myself but supporter of the cause it is infuriating ,to say the least , that the power of mass democracy. The voice of the people is spent so often on petty squabbles – identity politics – selfish factional point scoring.

Whilst our western democracy’s are flawed the wheel of justice does still turn all be it very slowly. People have no idea how much power they have when they stand in solidarity in our liberal western societies and use the powers of our democratic process to affect real change.

From Chiapas to Rojava – Mapuche to Palestine! All Struggles should be our struggles.

Building mass movements amongst the privileged western masses that mirror and amplify calls from indigenous and grassroots campaigns should be our goal in the west.

Discuss !

I say discuss because there is very little discussion EVER about how our imperial nations after reaking so much destruction in World Wars are:

a) – still causing bloodshed from our nonsensical drawing of national borders via treaties between imperial powers and

b) – our societies can still trace the massive hand up the syphoning of wealth from our colonies gave our own nationalist societies. If we arnt going to pay reparations the least we can do is stop powers like Turkey being given the green light at the last NATO summit ( citation to be added) for more genocide.

Follow me for more badly written views and opinions. – I’ll get better …..
