I think ESPN is the perfect example of a “pay-as-you-go TV casualty.” People who don’t like sports don’t want it, and now people who watch live games can just stream them on Reddit or Youtube. Highlights and “Sports Talk” are a niche market. I listen to NBA podcasts, but personally cannot stand the bravado of TV “sports personalities” like Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless.
