You give your future self too little credit. In turn might that diminish the value of your current powers of observation? It’s easy to make sweeping statements like yours — especially when you have nothing to lose in making them at this time. But where is the proof that you will stand by your decision at the time you must then relinquish your right to voice your opinion?

It is a very slippery slope when you start designating who should have the right to vote, vis-a-vis the right mentality, the mental dexterity to do the right thing.
