What’s your happiness?

I went back and forth about what to write next. I started one article about happy endings. Why we crave them in motion pictures. Why the human nature is so in love with this concept — this Holy Grail of life.

But, it got me thinking about happiness. After all, it’s an indispensable emotion for us to go forward. Of course, each individual treasures distinct moments which brings this warm and fuzzy feeling. For some (me included) happiness translates through a touch laid on the crinkled surface of a tree.

So, here are a couple of personal moments that made me happy:

Happiness is

…daring to push for that one impossible dream.
…when I arrived home after a 10-hour drive.
…when the words in a sentence just click.
…when everything fell into place after eight months of planning.
…when I’m packing my bags to go where I’m missed.
…when I slept good away from home.
…when I left behind people who don’t get me.
…seeing my family after months of staying abroad.
…when I stayed awake until 2 a.m. each day for a week gazing at the stars.
…when I asked in Portuguese for a cinema ticket.
…when I entered the hotel room after a surreal evening.

What’s yours?

Thanks for reading and I hope to hear from you.

p.s. Take care.
