How to play against team fight compositions | Day 12/30
When playing against an enemy team that is full of hard engage champions or who are ideal in team fight scenarios, you must adapt to their play style and counter it. But how?
There are a few things to do. The first is do not fight them 5v5. This sounds pretty simple and it is- do not fight them 5v5 because they will just beat you with their combo. Instead you need to rely on getting picks throughout the game- catching one of the enemy in the river or jungle is a good way of doing this. Keep a lot of informative wards around the map to seek enemies out which will allow you collapse on them.
The second thing you can do is split and play a 1–3–1. This will draw attention to your other lanes and you can abuse the 3v3. Send your strong laners to the side lanes, and put your wave clearers mid with your ADC and support. Your side lanes jobs are to draw pressure and not die or get caught. While you’re mid, your job is to clear waves and not get caught. When playing as a split push team, you must not fight mid lane if you see any of the side laners missing. This is because they can easily collapse on you. Champions that provide healing or shielding are good against these teams too as they can usually bring champions health back up quickly or shield any damage that has hit their team.
Here is an example of how to split push
There are a lot of other in game factors that can make it easier or harder to play against these team compositions. Try to not feed them in the early game, abuse your power spikes and put the enemy team behind so they will not be as useful when they fight as 5.
If you’re not comfortable playing against these team compositions- dodge the game for -3LP.
