Data scientists mostly just do arithmetic and that’s a good thing
Noah Lorang

After about 1 year of crazy self learning R, SQL and advanced statistics I understood as well that businesses mostly need someone who is dedicated to data and has a good understanding of how a business works, microeconomics, markets and in case there is the need to calculate a sample size or confidence intervals won’t start crying when sees that the formula starts with a Z. For the rest, mean and median would do the trick if coupled with a bit of good looking charts and communication skills. Thanks for confirming once again this feeling.
