Create Cards On Your Desktop

You have probably already tried the web version of Plag — if not, do! You’ve seen pictures and videos on the big screen, you’ve tracked the progress of your cards throughout the world on that extra-large map, and you’ve written long and complex comments on your physical keyboard. But something was missing, something that’s essential to Plag: the possibility to create.

The compose screen, extending an invitation.

It’s only one more screen, but it makes a world of difference: You can now create cards on your computer — write text, add images, create polls, insert links and change their descriptions right there on your desktop. The large font creates clarity. Posting works just like it does on your phone.

When you link to an article, you can usually choose from multiple pictures.

Creating cards on your desktop is convenient. But there’s an even more important aspect to this change. Owning a smartphone that runs iOS or Android is no longer a requirement for joining the conversation. It’s enough to have access to a computer — at home, at school, at an internet café, at a public library. Plag is home to a very diverse community, and it just got more inclusive and accessible.

More content in less space: Change the description of your link to whatever you want.

So — tell your friends without smartphones. Tell the people on Windows phones and those who work with Linux. Tell everyone who is too old or handicapped to fiddle with small devices. This change will add new voices to Plag, and new angles and opinions to this global conversation.

To join the Plag community via your computer, go to plag.com. After you read the manifesto, Plag will offer you to try web beta. Accept. You will be able to view and swipe through cards at once. As soon as you’re registered, you can comment on cards — and create your own content.

Done, post to World!
