On Wine. A tragedy.
Ryan Opaz

Mr. Opaz, you do have a point. The issue you raise is a phenomenon entirely endemic to the US. In places where wine is part of daily life and has been so for centuries, such questions are never asked. I am always amazed at the insecurity most US nationals display when serving wine. The act of sharing with affection something one likes with others will always trump provenance, back stories and so forth in my book, and nothing helps fuel that act better than a glass of wine.
