Take the red pill. Recognize when evil forces are messing with your mind.

There are times when I’m so stressed that nothing feels right. Heck, at those times I did not even know I was “stressed” — it simply felt like the whole world was out to get me. Lady at the grocery store, drivers on the road, my neighbor, all seemed god damned evil.

The mind is a tricky thing. Either control it or be controlled. The key is making it flow in the good direction.

  1. Be sane enough to acknowledge that the whole world is not out to get you. (TBH it’s not even about you most of the time.)
  2. Then it must be the stress.
  3. Figure out your “triggers”, and keep them away tomorrow.

It took me a while to realize it’s caffeine and sleep deprivation. Those two devils together takes me (and unfortunately sometimes my loved ones) into a world of hurt. Whenever anxiety hits me, I ask myself, “did you have caffeine? Did you sleep well?”. 90% of the time those two are the culprits.

One can keep a journal to figure out their “triggers”. (Maybe there should be apps that do this.) What are yours?

P.S. I realized that the only person who can dig me out of this hole is myself, by pressuring against the pressure from the inside. Exercise and sleep, my friend.
