Maximizing Your Play in BOSS FIGHTERS: The Power of Digital Collectibles

Dive into the heart of BOSS FIGHTERS, where the blend of Utility Cosmetics and Utility Digital Collectibles opens up new avenues for gameplay and reward strategies. This guide shines a light on how these digital assets play a pivotal role in enhancing your gaming journey.

Three Types of Digital Collectibles in BOSS FIGHTERS

In BOSS FIGHTERS, there are three categories of digital collectibles: Utility Items (characters and equipment in the form of digital collectibles), Utility Cosmetics (characters and equipment skins in the digital collectible form), and Pure Utilities, which are specifically created for $BFT token reward benefits.

Pure Utilities: Understanding BADGES, CONTRACTS, and STADIUMS

Pure Utilities play a critical role in collecting $BFT rewards within BOSS FIGHTERS. There are three types of these collectibles: BADGES, SHOWRUNNER CONTRACTS, and STADIUMS. BADGES and CONTRACTS feature ten levels of rarity, while STADIUMS have five. A higher rarity level translates to greater potential rewards.

  • BADGES: In BOSS FIGHTERS, collecting $BFT tokens is directly tied to the BADGES you craft and enhance. Equipping BADGES for battles is a mandatory condition for receiving token rewards. Without a BADGE, you won’t be able to collect tokens. The supply of BADGEs is limited and immutable.

Note for BigTime players: “BADGE” is our version of a “BigTime’s Hourglass.”

  • SHOWRUNNER CONTRACTS allow crafting and recharging BADGES, with the rarity of the CONTRACT limiting the maximum rarity of BADGES that can be crafted or recharged. These CONTRACTS come in several distinct types, each with its own set of bonuses. The supply of SHOWRUNNER CONTRACTS is limited and immutable. The rarity of the CONTRACT determines the maximum level of passive bonus a CONTRACT can potentially have. Players can enhance the passive bonuses of their SHOWRUNNER CONTRACTS using Sponsor Marks, a tradable resource that can be obtained through crafting and merging of utility items & cosmetics, or bought from other players.

Note for BigTime players: “SHOWRUNNER CONTRACT” is our version of a “BigTime’s Time Warden.”

  • STADIUM: Owning a STADIUM is your gateway to making SHOWRUNNER CONTRACTS, which are vital for the game’s economy. STADIUM owners get special discounts and can rack up more in-game rewards. They also get unique streaming features when using the BOSS FIGHTERS Twitch Extension. Details TBA.

Exploring Utility Items

In BOSS FIGHTERS, Utility Items, such as characters and equipment, feature ten rarity levels. It’s important to note that rarity levels from Exalted to Unique become accessible only after converting an item into a digital collectible.

Note: All items, such as characters and equipment, start as standard game assets and can initially reach up to the sixth level of rarity. However, through the conversion process, these items transition into Web3 digital collectibles, allowing their rarity to increase from levels 6 to 10 (Exalted to Unique) and become tradable on the marketplace.

With every new rarity, items either receive or upgrade a Perk.

Perks improve on every even level and a new Perk is added on every odd level. For in-game items, there are only three Power Perks available, as these items can reach a maximum rarity level of 6. On the other hand, Utility items can achieve up to 10 rarity levels. With this structure, Utility items can ultimately acquire three Power Perks and five Value Perks, with Value Perks being unlocked on every odd level, accounting for a total of five Value Perks after all upgrades.

Note: Power Perks stop being added after an item reaches rarity level 6. This means that for gamers, there’s no difference in how the game plays whether you have digital collectibles upgraded to level 10 or in-game items upgraded to level 6. They’ll perform the same in the game.

Note:

  • What is a Power Perk? Power Perks are special bonus abilities attached to an item that directly influence the gameplay, enhancing the player’s in-game capabilities or experiences.
  • What is a Value Perk? A Value Perk enhances valuable player rewards, such as BFT tokens, premium currency, and other resources, thereby increasing the economic benefits for the player.

The progression in item rarity is facilitated through a Merging mechanic. For example, merging two identical items at the common level results in a single item of uncommon rarity, and so on. We’ll dive deeper into the Merging Process and Perk Selection in our upcoming article.

Attention all owners of previously purchased Digital Collectibles: The Rowdies & Alpha Collections Collectibles will feature enhanced Utilities compared to the standard Collectibles that can be crafted while playing. Details to be announced (TBA).

Utility Cosmetics: How Skins Enhance Your Experience

Utility Cosmetics (digital collectible skins) are not just about sporting the latest look. Once crafted (converted into digital collectibles), these skins unlock their Value Perks (one per skin). Whether it’s a Fighter, Boss, or Equipment skin, each comes with a bonus Value Perk that kicks in after crafting.

Thus, you can enhance a Digital Collectible Item to the highest rarity, acquiring all eight perks, and then applying a skin to the item, resulting in a total of nine perks.

Skins also have 10 rarity levels; however, the Merging mechanic is not available for them. This means the Perk accompanying the skin matches the skin’s rarity level.

Mix and Match to Enhance Your Gameplay and $BFT Token Rewards

As already mentioned, equipping a digital collectible skin (Utility Cosmetics) in BOSS FIGHTERS does more than change your character’s appearance — it can also grant a bonus token reward, but only if you possess a BADGE. The higher the rarity level of your digital collectible item and BADGE, the greater your potential rewards, including tokens and various other benefits.

Moreover, the effects of perks included in Digital Collectible Items and Utility Cosmetics are cumulative, allowing players to make strategic decisions in combat that lead to reward outcomes. For instance, a Value Perk on a Digital Collectible Item, like a Rocket Launcher, might give a +2% token reward for inflicting 1000 critical damage on a Boss in a match. If you have a Digital Collectible Skin for the Rocket Launcher with a Value Perk of +1% token reward for dealing 2000 damage with the Rocket Launcher, you achieve two objectives simultaneously, resulting in a +3% token reward.

These perks are not single-use; they continue to apply to the item (both items and skins), motivating players to strategically combine digital collectible items and skins according to the battle conditions and their desired outcomes. Selecting the appropriate skin for the situation, such as one with a laser-related perk for battles that rely heavily on lasers, can greatly improve your performance and in-game rewards.

Celebrating Utility Cosmetics Owners: A Gateway to In-Game Economy

For the proud owners of Rowdies, Alpha, Boss Crafters, and Tournament digital collectibles, your moment to shine has arrived. You already possess an exclusive “entry ticket” into the game’s vibrant economy, with full access to its extensive features just around the corner. Participation in the in-game economy will be exclusively available to digital collectibles owners.

Please remember, to earn $BFT token rewards, you need to have not only Utility Cosmetics and Items, but a special Pure Utility called a BADGE.

Unlocking Potential with Halloween and Christmas Collections

For those holding Halloween and Christmas Collections, here’s some good news for you. Initially acquired as in-game items, you have the opportunity to convert these skins into digital collectibles, once the in-game economy is launched. This not only opens the door to participating in the economy but also elevates these items to rare digital collectibles, thanks to their event-specific release. Get ready to embrace the economic benefits and rarity that these transformed collectibles bring to your gaming experience.
