These types of articles always seem a little disingenuous to me.

Guess it depends on what you want out of a movie. The Transformers movies are craven artistic efforts that regularly get lambasted by critics. Yet, they continue to rake in huge amounts of cash at the box office.

Less discriminating foreign audiences tend to be the saviors/culprits in these situations anymore. T4 made over a billion at the BO but North American audiences only contributed about $250M to that haul. That’s still a lot, but given the budget and the diminish domestic returns for each film in the series, that speaks to a potential trend that could strike the DCEU movies going forward. Unless Wonder Woman and/or Justice League knock it out of the park.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?
