This week, the Plutus Team is excited to announce several developments!
Within the next month, we will be releasing the Plutus White Paper, along with a detailed project timeline in order to show our development so far as well as upcoming updates. The White Paper itself will provide a comprehensive resource that explains. in detail, the underlying technical details of Plutus and the PlutusDEX. It contains information about our platform which cannot be found anywhere else and has not been posted before, so it will definitely be worth checking out. If you would like to be informed as soon as the White Paper is released, please make sure to subscribe on Plutus.it.
As well as being nominated for the European Fintech 100, Plutus has also been shortlisted as a finalist for Contactless Intelligence & Mobile Awards 2016 (sponsored by VISA), which takes place on April 26th in London. We are also one of the main speakers to discuss next generation payment systems built on the Ethereum Blockchain.
This is a great opportunity for us to discuss the potential of utilising the blockchain to create autonomous applications to circumvent the cost of fees charged by traditional payment infrastructure to consumers. We will also discuss our rebate program, which uses Ethereum tokens called Plutons, as well as taking advantage of Bitcoin’s extremely high hashrate, and the recent exponential growth of user wallets and transactions.
Especially in the business-to-consumer sector, and since the new Ethereum Homestead release, there is now a huge niche with lots of potential that has only been explored superficially thus far. We expect to see significant developments in this space within an incredibly short timeframe.
Meanwhile, we have released a recap of our activity so far, such as the week where we made all our purchases with Plutus, as well as a mission statement which elucidates exactly why we chose to make Plutus as decentralised as possible.
We have also released a new blog post that explains the aforementioned mission statement, and elaborates on why exactly organisations and their consumers can benefit from autonomisation. You can read more at:
Instead of building another payments app, our ambition at Plutus is to build a next generation payments system from the ground up. Plutus will be much more than a contactless payment service — it will be an autonomous payments system that requires significant resources to develop the underlying technology. You can read our Frequently Asked Questions to find out more about the launch schedule or reach out to us on social media, reddit or telegram.
If you know someone who you believe could benefit from or contribute to the growing blockchain economy, please don’t hesitate to send them this post.
P.s. Our previous article posted below covers disintermediation and explains how it will affect merchants, consumers, and payment processors. It also asks an important question, “Why is the blockchain gaining the attention of Fintech?”
