No Matter How We Fall
Rough roads are where we find ourselves, where we meet who we’ll become, who we’ve always been but never faced, never fully embraced.
Rough roads are why we strive. They remind us to fight, to survive. To hold on to every thread of shredded lives and weave them back together, one by one.
Rough roads don’t knock us down, bruised and broken to the ground, voices never rising over those who’d drown us out. No. We overcome. Drag our bodies up from dust and soldier on. They lead us home.
Rough roads help keep us free. They guide our feet, encourage us to leap. Teach us how to dance and even sing, no matter how we bleed. Beat back the fears that bring us to our knees, give us strength to chase our dreams.
Rough roads are not the enemy. They’re champions of dignity and grace, taking pride in every hardship we endure along the way. They tear down walls, refuse to catch us when we fall, then talk us down from ledges in the race to save our lives.
Rough roads are where we thrive.
