I agree that we rather glibly ignore the volatility of human sexuality. And it’s all well and good for moderns to poke fun at the “prudery” of our forbears, but the fact remains that every culture has had to, and will have to answer the question: “But what are we going to do about sex?”

As a Christian I believe that sexuality is essentially a beautiful and positive thing but that without God-given parameters it becomes ugly very, very quickly. It can do so under fundamentalism, feminism, or sheer hedonism.
