I completely agree. The First Amendment does not require employers (in this case the NFL) to allow employees to protest on the clock, in uniform, and arguably in a way that suggests the employer shares their cause. Just like if I hire a writer who’s also a political activist, I’m not obligated to let that person write about his positions on my blog or social media accounts. What he does on his own time and under his own name, however, is none of my business.
