This situation says so much about the state of journalism: too few reporters, too few editors, and too much pressure to generate copy at an impossible speed. I worry for the health of my daughter’s father, who is often strapped to his chair and/or the desk at the news org where he’s worked for more than 15 years. We met in a newsroom, and though I miss it terribly, the land has changed to a place that seems unrecognizable from just 8 years ago. We all fuck up; you explained it, and were rewarded with a boot in the ass. That is a crying shame. I’m sure you’ll land someplace better. Peace.
