Main Event Results APT Philippines 2016: Jeon Seung Soo Champion, held at Resorts World Manila from April 13 to 21, 2016. This 9 day event was filled with different events and poker personalities from around the globe. The Main Event started last Saturday with 84 players and it solidified the number from Sunday with 96 entries. A total of 180 entries participated in the event with # who are qualified to play on Day 2. As the tournament progress on Day 2, 33 players were able to qualify on Day 3.
A total prize pool of $523,800 for the 18 In the Money players. Each personalities was able to prove their best in poker, skill and luck. The event has a buy in of $3,300 with 50,000 starting chips and levels up every 60 minutes.

A fervent player in the APT community and this year’s chip leader since the first day of APT Philippines Main Event 2016, Korea’s Seung Soo Jeon won a championship in Jan 2013 at the APT Asian Series Cebu, and placed 2nd during APT kickoff’s in January 2015.

2nd Place Kah Boon Teh from Malaysia
Seasoned player and first time APT Main Event 2016 player, Kah Boon Teh. Entering as the overall chip leader on day 2, Teh came in second to Ward upon entering day 3 and earned the third spot in the chip rank of the Final 8 at APT Main Event 2016 (Final 8) eliminating Hong Kong’s Raiden Kan.

3rd Place Jim Bonanno from Guam
APT Final Table regular, this is Jim’s second time to reach the APT championship in Manila. This cavalier from Guam is a sight to see.

Experienced APT Main Event Final Table player, placed 3rd at the APT Asian Series Cambodia, he also placed 10th at the Main Event of the New Caledonia Poker Open in March.

5th Place Czardy Duterte Rivera from Philippines
Filipino Czardy Rivera is a legend in the APT community. He has one APT Main Event championship title under his belt which he won at the APT Asian Series Manila in 2013. Rivera is a well-known poker player in the Philippines and he plays in many of the big tournaments held in the country and in Macau.

6th Place Thomas Ward from New Zealand
Thomas Ward, shipping the biggest post of day 1B and day2 at APT Main Event 2016 doubled up against Saipan’s Victorino Torres. The leader Into the Final 8, Thomas is held with a high-rank chip status. Under Thomas belt, he’s carrying prestigious ranks: 8th at the APT Asian Series Manila Main Event in 2012, 10th at the APT Asian Series Cebu Event in 2015 and 2nd at the most attended APPT 2015 ACOP Main Event, Macau.
