It has been an interesting journey to get to where we are at now with every update pushing us further. Our team has successfully constructed a robust and high speed data indexing service for modern high speed blockchains. This was no easy task and it has been an exciting story to tell via our dev updates on Medium. If you have been following along the progress is truly incredible to see, our team has taken the initial idea, and transformed it into reality. Itโ€™s exciting to uncover what the future might hold for Polar Sync โ„๏ธ

Uniswap Analytics demo site complete

Following up from our most recent developments, benchmark testing showing our solution is 100x faster than The Graph, ๐Ÿ‘

We completed a full sync of all data on the blockchain for the Uniswap V2 subgraph in 32 hours. The Graph would take roughly 200 days to finish utilizing the same hardware.

Now we have taken this major milestone further by prototyping a full Uniswap V2 analytics demo site that utilizes Polar Syncโ€™s backend infrastructure. Data provided by Polar Sync is powering the entire frontend website demo, showcasing what our services can provide for a potential client.

Currently this demo is in a prototype stage and isnโ€™t ready for live production or preview (but very soon we can share with everyone). First we must solve the scaleability of our data endpoints to allow for large amounts of traffic and bandwidth without any interruptions. Which is currently being developed and is covered more in detail in the Infrastructure developments section.

We have shared this demo with a few potential partners and/or for business developments purposes. You can contact us via our Telegram if you are also interested ๐Ÿ‘‰ Polar Sync Telegram

The subgraphs and logos shown in the design are for mock up purposes.

Ongoing work โ€” Expanding upon our website we are looking to add a fully transparent dashboard for anyone to check in to see the latest stats and partners we are working with. From here you will be able to see the sync progress, data access endpoint, run test queries, and more. ๐Ÿค

This is in development and currently there isnโ€™t an exact release date. There are a few other higher priority items related to the indexing software that our team would like to finish up before we focus back on the Polar Sync info site.

Expand Polar Sync API

Ongoing work โ€” The full vision of Polar Sync is to allow any team or individual developer to have the ability to create an account with us, code their own subgraph, deploy it, and have it up and running to query data. For this to happen seamlessly there is progress that has to happen behind the scenes first.

An important milestone for this goal is exposing a public API that will enable developers to utilize our framework to write their own subgraph. Currently this is all embedded in our core application and must be written in Rust, although we would like to also expand this to Typescript. We are in the process of extrapolating this functionality out into its own service so we can share with other developers soon.

Infrastructure developments

Currently our data endpoints are primarily for research, testing and prototyping. This works great while we were making changes and improving the Polar Sync codebase. However to move towards a production environment there is a large amount of Devops efforts that must be completed. We have started the initial phase of this and hope to make more progress on it for the next update. ๐Ÿ‘

Overall another great update with a lot of exciting developments that are either completed or underway now. Our timeline has constantly shifted from when we first started till now as our research can sometimes extend timelines. The most important factor is that we have continued to move forward with new updates and progress. We will continue reach new milestones and achieve the goals set for Polar Sync to grow.
